Dear Reader,

Are you tired of spending your hard-earned money on server space and  bandwidth that you're not even using?

Are you prepared to break the functionality of your website the next time it  crashes...just  because you had a little too much web traffic?

Does your Cocker Spaniel cower and hide the second you start screaming four-letter words (because your site starts crawling like a pregnant snail during your video streaming)?  And the real reason is because a handful of people are watching your videos at the same time?

If you answered "yes" to any of these questions (or you know anyone in one of these situations), then this could be the most important info you've EVER READ!

Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Ken Weatherford. President of WP Global Syndicate. I've been an Amazon S3 customer for quite a while, and I have encountered (and eventually solved) these same problems. Don't worry; the dog's safe! lol

Trying to find the answers to securing my Amazon S3 files or securely streaming my S3-hosted videos has been like looking for a microscopic needle in a universal haystack.

My associate taught 100's of people how to master the basics of Amazon S3. In case you are new to the whole S3 thing, let me start at the beginning.

What Is Amazon AWS S3 and Why Do You Need It?

You may have bought a book or any of a billion other items from Amazon.com. Well, this is the very same Amazon. Amazon AWS S3 is one of several applications or services that Amazon has in its stable of products and services.

When you have images, videos, site backups, and other 'data-heavy' items hosted with your regular hosting service like Hostgator or Godaddy, the more traffic you have simultaneously visiting your site page(s), the slower the page(s) load in your visitor's web browser. Even when you're lucky enough to see a spike in traffic, it can crash your site within seconds.

You don't have the same slowing, buffering, or crashing of your site when your images, videos, and other data are hosted on Amazon S3.

If you have a product launch and have several large downloadable zip files hosted on a Hostgator or GoDaddy server, and all of a sudden you have several customers trying to download these files at about the same time, you could be in trouble.

The server crashes, the support tickets start piling up, and what should be a happy day quickly turns into a crappy day. Why does this happen?  Because, unless you have a dedicated server, you are hosting your site(s) with other sites on the same server.

Host these items on an Amazon S3 account, and you could have 10 or 10,000 people simultaneously downloading the same zip files, and you don't have this potential site-crashing problem.

This is just one benefit of using Amazon S3 to host these 'data-heavy' items.

Huge and Cheap

Amazon S3 is an online scalable storage service, which means it is a hard drive in cyberspace with unlimited storage, where you only pay for what you use. Since Amazon started S3 back in 2006 (2007 in Europe) they began charging only 15 cents per gigabyte but have kept lowering that price, and now it is in the range of 3 cents per GB.

Here's The Problem...
Geek-Speak That You Can't Understand

Amazon AWS has plenty of "helpful" documents that cover almost anything to do with all of the services Amazon AWS offers.

There are also loads of "helpful" videos on YouTube.

The problem is that most of the YouTube videos are outdated and the documents on Amazons website are like learning a foreign language that has been dead since 3500 BC.

Here's The Solution

I've spent hours slogging through the outdated YouTube videos and trying to decipher the Amazon Help documents.  And with good old trial and error (more error than trial) We've asked a friend to put what I have learned into 23+ over-the-shoulder type of training videos.
